Claims and Refunding.
1. Returns Policy
Returns are eligible for processing within 30 days of arrival. Hardware must arrive in original, unopened packaging without any usage marks. Any solar equipment showing prior installation will be rejected for credit.
2. Exclusions
Certain goods are non-returnable due to safety: pre-built batteries, custom arrays, fixed panels, and sale items. Large industrial orders adhere to specific contractual terms. Please verify all technical specs before initiating a return request.
3. Procedure
To start, send your proof of purchase to info@solarpowerkit.co.za. Upon clearance, you will receive an RMA number and location details for shipping your equipment to our testing center, where our specialists will perform a full inspection.
4. Assessment
Once received, technical staff will test the hardware. Notifications are sent via email to verify claim approval. Validated returns are sent for financial processing immediately to ensure timely restitution for you.
5. Payout
Refunds are issued to the initial payment source within 7–10 days. Processing times depend on your bank. Solar Power Kits cannot provide cash refunds at any retail facility or warehouse location.
6. Shipping
Customers are responsible for transport costs when returning equipment. Initial shipping costs are non-refundable. If we facilitate a collection, current courier rates are subtracted from your total refund.
7. Damages
Damaged goods must be reported in 48 hours. Defects fall under factory warranties (typically 5–10 years). We only reimburse courier fees for items arriving non-functional at your specific business location.
8. Exchanges
We facilitate swaps for broken components only. For switching model types, we provide digital credit notes after the original hardware passes a quality audit at our central distribution warehouse.
9. Statutes
These terms integrate with our Shipping Policy and Terms of Use. These rules apply to all Solar Power Kits products, commercial hardware, and residential energy storage system installations.
